First International Conference of English Teachers to be held in Surkhet

29 August, Birendranagar Surkhet.

An interaction program that took place at hotel Panchakoshi today at Birendranagar Surkhet has given assurance to the first regional conference of NELTA going to be held on the 24th and 25th February 2010. This will be an ELT mega event gathering presenters from home and abroad, along with English teachers from all over Nepal. Poster presentations, Teaching materials and books exhibition will also take place in the sidelines.

Among the participants of the interaction program were Bishnu Nepal, Regional Education Director; Bhakta Dhakal, District Education Officer; Nawaraj Baral, District Administration Officer, representatives of local bodies, Nelta delegates from different districts from west Nepal like Jumla, Mugu, Doti, Dhangadhi, Bardiya, Dailekh, Achham, Jajarkot, Banke, Dang, etc. Also present were two CC members Mr. Durga Pandey and Mr. Ramji Hamal along with local leaders from various organizations and the chiefs of all political parties in the district

Best wishes messages from Mr. Loknath Upadhyaya from Butwal, Mr. Gopal Basyal from Palpa, Mr. Lekhnath Baral from Kathmandu and Mr. Tirtha Kandel from Nawalparasi were read out in the program by Mr Dipen Bhusal.

All of the participants unequivocally expressed their happiness about the coming conference. They also expressed their commitment of help from different sectors wholeheartedly. Both the CC members Mr Hamal and Mr Pandey showed their enthusiasm in the coming event by promising to donate Rs. 5000.00 each.

All the 80 participants present in the interaction program gave agreement by applause on the chairperson’s proposal of keeping them in the main organizing committee.

Mr Lal Bahadur Rana, the secretary of the branch had presented a concept paper and Ms Kalpana Paudel had delivered a welcome speech before the commencement of interaction conducted by vice chair Mukunda Giri and chaired by Mr Uttam Gaulee.
