Shubha - Sky's the limit

Studied in India but returned back to country to serve her nation, raising her voice for women rights and women related issues. She is trying to change the "Women Power"in to "Social Power House" so that women could get a proper platform and opportunity so they can contribute equally to build a healthy society. Self motivated, capability to direct a right way and believing in her performance she always try to gift an error free society.

Working as District Program Officer in DFID, Surkhet, Shubha has devoted her 14 years in Social Service by covering most of all parts of western Nepal. She is master of multi specialty, she is a devoted social worker, she is a brave lady and she is a responsible citizen. Apart from DFID, she is associated with many other important organizations which are playing vital role in Social services. FORD Nepal (Chair Person), Rara TV (Vice Chair Person), WHRD (Member), Peace Society (Member), Montessori Children Home (Advisor).  

Born on 14th May 1974, holding Bachelors Degree in Arts, Shubha is a well known name among Surkheti Women mass. Always rounded by local women and listening their issues, Subha has contributed her all earnings in to social service where she is trying to give a new pathway to poor and physically challenged children.

Her level of passion in social service can be measured by seeing her when she is busy in hitting her computer keyboard and reading Women related issues on international level in internet. Smiling face, sensitive personality, popular in Surkhet and its native places Shubha love to meet the people from different culture and societies. Not only in social services, is she also famous for her delicious vegetarian dishes and she feels pleasure to cook for her friends and guests.

Staying with 2 brothers, 1 sister and mother, Shubha is very happy and is still single. She also likes to write articles in woman issues. Education, right guidance, motivation and health services and major factors for development of a society and we can’t bring the change without these elements.  Being a blend of modernity and socialism she is “Symbol of Winner” but she always like to recall those days and those lessons taught by her teacher in India, who motivated Shubha for art of living and become a good person of society.   

Shubha looks dazzling with blue Jeans, T-shirt, goggles and pairs of sport shoes holding steering of car with her favorite tracks while traveling out of state. Enjoys specific TV shows, loves gardening in her leisure time she has a huge variety of colorful flowers and ornamental plants. I like to have an active rest in a fresh air, traveling, swimming, ice skating, horse riding, driving, and going in for the aerobics. I like to watch foot ball matches, women related books and listening to music, Shubha adds and smiles.

I always try to perform best; don’t care for result because if you work with interest and proper preparation, it will certainly fruitful. No one is bad by birth; lots of factors are responsible to make him/her bad. We have to find out those root causes and we should try to remove them so that we can be assuring about a responsible citizenship.  

I would like to request all Nepali women and especially young women of our generation to come together and join hands for the development of women. We need to find a proper place for ourselves where we can contribute equally. Everything depends on your decisions. If your will power is greater than the power of Politics and you have the ability of decision making you can bring "THE CHANGE"
